It’s certainly the uptime for drones in the market, several companies are rolling their cameras based drones in the market. The drones can take shots from angles that are out of the reach from the human hands or with the use of any other extension rods. For ex. Sometimes the wildlife photographers are about to get some exclusive shots but the situation there is risky, in such conditions drones with camera proves to be really helpful.
However most of the drones present in the market are bulky and large in dimension that is the reason several users don’t go for it. If you also face the same problem with drones, well here is the solution:
Recently a new ‘Nano’ drone “Zano” was announced by Torquing Group Ltd. The drone is capable of taking high quality aerial photo and HD videos. The drone is so small (2.5” X 2.5”) that it can fit into your palm and it weighs just 545gms and hence is ultraportable.
The drone can be controlled by any iOS or Android device via Wi-Fi and also offers live time monitoring on the connected device’s screen. Presently the 5MP camera of Zano allows it to capture high quality images and HD 720p videos but the manufacturers said that they are working for enabling full HD 1080p videos and this may be available with the future update. Zano comes with interchangeable batteries that mean the users can carry some extra battery for use while shooting and in one battery cycle the drone offers a 10-15 min. flight.
While talking of the shooting modes available, the drone can be locked at a particular positon in the sky, you can also set it to follow you as it automatically avoids obstacles or you can control it with your Smartphone’s motion sensor (gesture control) and apart from these, several other modes are also available.
Presently the production is undergoing and hopefully the beta version will come in March 2015 and the shipping for the final product will start in May 2015. The product page can be found on kickstarter and you can support it there to raise the fund.
The product will be priced £150 (~$235 USD) for the early bird deal, or £190 (~$297 USD) after the early birds.
