Canon 7D Mark II Will Capture 4K Video?

Canon-5D-Mark-4-K-image A photoshopped image of 5D Mark 4 camera (yep, its not real)

Absolutely it can, since the Canon does have technology and making experience as we already seen the EOS cinema line-up that can record 4K videos and have PDAF sensor inside, and Panasonic GH4 with such a small body (and now some smartphones also like Note 3 can record ultra HD and Xperia Z2 4K) records  4k videos, so the only question left is why Canon is waiting?

But 4k is reserved for 5D Mark IV –  According to a email that hit our email box few days ago, the upcoming 5D Mark IV will capture 4K videos with its newly developed PDAF Sensor and Expandable Sensitivity: ISO 50-204800.

So finally it depend upon Canon decision makers where to first introduce the 4K recording option, and according to my experience they will use 5D Mark IV for it, since the 5D line-up was introduce as a perfect tool for Videographers and still photographers… plus a fullframe body will bring more money to Canon account than a APS-C does.
