The Presentation of Organic-on-Si CMOS Sensors by Samsung

samsung new organic

The latest news coming from the sites that the Samsung revealed an Organic-on-silicon complementary metal–oxide–semiconductor colour image sensors”:

What company proposed:

The company proposes superposing an organic Photodiode (OPD) onto a CMOS circuit with Si Photodiodes, which is said to double the light-input surface area of each pixel.

But it was also told that Samsung is not the only who is taking the benefits of such a technology.       Before this Fuji and Panasonic also tries to take the advantages of the organic sensor technology but they are not successful yet. But the priority goes to Samsung who has brought the first shots taken with this 5mp organic sensor into light.
