According to mirrorless rumors Kazuto Yamaki CEO from Sigma talked to Focus Numerique and again got confirmation that Sigma are not developing an interchangeable mirrorless camera anytime soon.
Sigma will continue to make APS-C or MFT lenses for mirrorless system but they also decide not to make lenses for the Sony Full Frame E-mount cameras. Their main focus is still creating optics for the DSLR market confirmed by Sigma.
The quality of the latest Sigma 50mm f/1.4 ART lens is similar to the the $4,000 Zeiss Otus. So it is clear that Sigma is very serious with their new “ART” lens and according to the latest rumors surfaced at 43rumors Sigma will show a new ART lenses four Micro Four Thirds mount at Photokina show and also said that it will have fast aperture compared to the current line-up of M4/3 lenses.
