Sony A7 II to support 5 axis stabilization with all 3rd party lenses.

A few days earlier Sony announced its new full frame camera – A7 II that features the first in-body 5 axis image stabilization system that excellently reduces the camera shake effect. However, most of the consumers were in doubt whether the 5 axis image stabilization would be supported with any lens or with some specific lenses.

According to the latest news the new Sony A7 II will support image stabilization with all three party lenses.

If we look at the news and rumors on the Sony alpha rumor we come to know that common 3rd party lenses like Zeiss ZM, Leica M and Konica Hexanon series are compatible with the new stabilization system. Therefore if it happens then for the first time all these 3rd party lenses will experience up to 4.5 stops Image stabilization on a full frame camera.

Sony alpha rumors also mentions that users will have to manually adjust the lenses focal length for the users shooting with non-electronic lenses. On the other hand users will have to disable any in-lens stabilization if they are shooting with the electronic lenses. but we think that in order to gain such a wonderful image stabilization one must not consider these adjustments as a serious issue.
