Megapixel:  Samsung NX3000 features 20.3 megapixel sensors, on the other hand Olympus OM-D E-M10 it is limited to 16.1 megapixels, so resolution wise Samsung NX3000 is much better.


Bigger Sensor Size:  Samsung NX3000 have bit bigger sensor size compared to Olympus E- M10, the bigger sensor area gives you more dynamic range in your images, more color depth and better low light performance aka less amount of noise visible during HIGH ISO mode.

More AF Points:  Both camera feature same contrast based AF system but we get more AF points with Olympus OM-D E-M10 compared to Samsung NX3000.

Better Shutter Range: Samsung NX3000 features better shutter range of 30 – 1/4000; on the other hand Olympus E-M10 shutter range is bit better with 60- 1/4000.

Top Continuous shooting speed: Olympus OM-D E-M10 captures fast shooting speed (5 vs. 8 fps) compared to Samsung NX3000.

Display:  Olympus OM-D E-M10 comes with a bigger Tiltable 3.0″ LCD touch screen, 1.04 million dots Monitor on the other hand Samsung NX3000 have 3” Rear Screen Tilting  LCD (460,800) Screen dots, so we get more flexibility while composing our shot with Olympus OM-D E-M10.

Wireless:   Samsung NX3000 features Wi-Fi with NFC connectivity, you can easily transfer your images via Wi-Fi and send your images to other smart device by using photo beam technology, you can also activate remote shooting on NX3000 via NFC, but un-fortunately Olympus OM-D E-M10 has limited to Wi-Fi connectivity only. It only allows you to share your images , no remote shooting option available.

Battery Life (CIPA): Samsung NX3000 features longer battery life (According to CIPA) compared to Olympus OM-D E-M10 doesn’t have CIPA rating

Dimensions: Samsung NX3000 is smaller than Olympus OM-D E-M10.

Weight: Samsung NX3000 lighter than Olympus OM-D E-M10.

Viewfinder: The Olympus E-M10 features built in EVF, no EVF available in Samsung NX3000.

Verdict: Olympus E-M10 features better AF system, Samsung NX3000 comes with bigger APS-C size sensor…. if you are a sports shooter we recommend you to go with E-M10.. otherwise for everyone else we recommend Samsung NX3000.
