Samsung Galaxy S6 Edge Plus Vs Apple iPhone 6s Plus

DxOMark has tested two of the smartphones the Samsung Galaxy S6 Edge Plus and Apple iPhone 6s Plus. Since both of them are the flagship devices of their brand.

During the testing, the Samsung Galaxy S6 Edge Plus gained a score of 87-points while Apple iPhone 6s Plus scores a little lower score of 84points.

The result is based on the testing of videos and photos qualities of both the devices.

As we know the Samsung Galaxy S6 Edge Plus has the Super AMOLED display of 5.7” with the resolutions of 1440 x 2560 pixels with 518 ppi pixel density.

It includes a rear camera of 16 MP, f/1.9, 28mm, OIS, autofocus and LED flash and front facing camera of 5 MP with f/1.9, 22mm and captures 1440p@30fps.

While Apple iPhone 6s Plus features LED-backlit IPS LCD display of 5.5” with the resolutions of 1080 x 1920 pixels with 401 ppi pixel density.

The camera section of the device includes a rear camera of 12 MP, f/2.2, 29mm with phase detection autofocus and dual-LED (dual tone) flash, it also has front-facing camera of 5 MP, f/2.2, 31mm and captures 1080p@30fps and 720p@240fps.

Hence these specifications are sufficient to know that Samsung Galaxy S6 Edge Plus is superior to Apple iPhone 6s Plus in overall performance.

  • Reliable and pleasant white balance under most conditions
  • Good detail preservation in bright light

  • – Some color inaccuracies and color shading visible with indoor lighting
  • – Occasional blue-sky saturation and other artifacts
  • – With flash, chroma noise and visible reduction of illumination in corners
