Ricoh is in Financial crisis – Will they continue the Camera Business?

Ricoh is in financial crisis! Yes as per the report circulates online, Ricoh is suffering from Hard Financial crisis – A rumor that came for the first time two months before now turned into reality. Multifunctional printers –The biggest strength of Ricoh that makes 90% of their consolidated sales and now Ricoh claimed their business loss reason is their Printers. However, Yamashita, CEO Ricoh is pushing sales outlets to earn profits, rather than market share.

In April, when Yamashita was asked about their medium-term management plan, he replied:

“We will incur a loss of tens of billions of yen three years from now if nothing is done,” he said. “People around me warn that our survival will then be questioned.”

Yamashita doesn’t want any stone leave unturned since he sets a cost reduction target of 100 billion yen ($912 million) for the three years through March 2020.

So, the photographers maybe desperate to know whether Ricoh kill off the sister Company Pentax – A company Ricoh hired in 2011 from Hoya by investing around $124 M. Unfortunately no lines for this question, but happily, Ricoh once already denied the rumors related to their “Camera market shut down”.
