Ricoh GR II vs. Ricoh GR –In-depth analysis

ricoh griiToday we have the latest information that Ricoh adds more features like Wi-Fi and NFC to its Ricoh GR II. Now Ricoh GR II became the first camera of GR-series which have built-in Wi-Fi and NFC connectivity. It allows the users to connect wirelessly to smartphones and tablets for remote operation and also helps in transfer of images.

The company also added Wireless flash functionality with some Pentax flash units. Using the built-in flash, the GR II can communicate wirelessly with the AF360FGZII and AF540FGZII External Flashes. This helps the users to provide a complete lighting solution in quick and easy manner so that they have not to remember about cables or additional triggers and receivers for lighting purpose.

The Ricoh GR II has a large 16.2 MP APS-C CMOS sensor, which provides images of high-resolution with low noise at up to ISO 25600.

The company Ricoh has made minor upgradation including an increased 1/2500 sec shutter speed at maximum aperture, some white balance tweaks, and it has increased buffer depth to 10 frames for 4 fps Raw shooting, and continuous or spot AF modes in video shooting.

Since all the specifications are remaining the same as earlier.

It is expected that the Ricoh GR II will be available at the cost of $799/£599 from July, 2015.
