We have the rumored information via reliable source of Pentax Forum that the upcoming Pentax Full Frame DSLR showed its interest towards the newly announced Sony a7RII 42.4MP full frame BSI-CMOS sensor and it is expected that it will leave the room for Sony’s 42.4MP BSI –CMOS sensor in its full frame DSLR body.  Also see more rumors share by the same source.

Below is what the Tamron rep said:

#1. Ricoh is going to open a factory service center in the US in 2016.

#2. The new full frame Pentax will have the Sony 42 MP sensor from the a7R II.

#3. Tamron will be adding new Pentax K mount lenses because of the above.

We actually don’t know that the Pentax upcoming Full Frame DSLR will use the same sensor or Pentax will announce different full frame DSLR later, however the upcoming FF DSLR is rumored tobe announced in October, 2015, price around $3,000.
