Sensor: The Panasonic DMC-LX100 is designed with a 16.8MP four-thirds image sensor which results in producing high resolution images with superior quality which can further be processed and cropped. While the Panasonic FZ1000 features a 20.1MP 1” sensor which results in producing high quality images. With a slight big sensor the Panasonic DMC-LX100 will capture more light while creating the images, therefore the quality of image will be notably high.

Optical Zoom: Offering an amazing optical zoom range of 16x the FZ1000 allows user to take clear images of the far located subjects without taking the camera closer to it. However the LX100 offers a optical zoom range of 3.1x which is much less in comparison to that of FZ1000.

Aperture range: Better aperture range allows the user to control the amount of light used by the camera while creating the image. Therefore with a low and better aperture range of f1.7-f2.8 the LX100 leads the comparison.

Optical Image stabilization: The FZ1000 offers a hybrid optical image stabilization that reduces the appearance of camera shake across five distinct axes. Whereas, LX100 offers the regular optical image stabilization which is considered to be less effective than the FZ1000.

Auto focus: Both the cameras feature the same Contrast detect autofocus system with 49 AF points. The contrast detect autofocus system fine tunes the focused area.

Shutter speed: Both the cameras offer a shutter speed of 60 sec 1/16000 sec which allows them to take clear and sharp images of even fast moving objects.

Top shooting speed: The FZ1000 can take up to 12 shots continuously in a second while the LX100 can take up to 11 shots continuously in a second.

Video: Both FZ1000 and LX100 are capable to record Ultra HD 3840 x2160 videos recording @30fps and full HD 1080p videos recording @60fps. Videos are saved in MP4 or AVCHD formats.

Display: The FZ1000 comes with a 3.0″ 921k-Dot Free-Angle LCD Monitor which is used for monitoring the subjects and for sharp and clear playback of images as well as videos. On the other hand LX100 comes with a 3.0″ 921k-Dot LCD Monitor.
