From top to bottom, quite similar specifications are clearly visible between Panasonic GX850 vs. Panasonic GX85. It looks like Panasonic has just given a new name to GX85 that is GX850 since most of the specifications including 16MP M4/3 sensor, similar AF system and many more.  The only big difference we may notice is continuous shooting speed in which GX850 avails 10fps shooting speed, whereas GX85 offers only 8fps.

Image stabilization

One of the excellent benefits one can earn from Panasonic GX85 is Image stabilization mechanism. GX85 implements Sensor shift image stabilization mechanism that is much necessary to acquire crisp and blur free images. Actually, this I.S mechanism doesn’t allow the uncontrolled camera shakes to disrupt the images by effectively suppressed them, which is very effective while shooting stills and recording 4K video at lowlight shooting. On the other hand, you can see GX850 doesn’t have I.S system.


However, both the two cameras can record 4K videos at 30fps, using the same kind of image sensor, same ISO range etc. But the big difference you may see is in the price of these two cameras. GX850 Costs you lesser than that of Panasonic GX85. Furthermore, one of the key advantages you can gain from GX85 is NFC facility that lets easy wireless connectivity with compatible devices.
