Sensor -We are so sure that with 24.3MP X-Trans CMOS III sensor the X-pro2 will win the race of supplying us the images with nice colors and sharpness, however, this Fuji camera also doesn’t have low pass filter that helps the users to gain the rich details of the subjects with eliminating the false colors. In the same way the GX85 camera also eliminates low pass filter that the camera can achieve the detail part of the subjects but its resolution as well as sensor sizes both are comparably lesser and smaller respectively than X-pro2. So we might get wrong in expecting the same standard of images from GX80 as X-pro2.

AF system– One of the chief Specifications of the camera is AF system and every professional photographer wants a camera with innovative AF system and so does the mirrorless X-pro2 is. The camera uses hybrid AF system with total 273 AF points and out of these 77 are phase detection, for greater functionality and faster focusing. But Photographers may not enjoy the focusing performance same with GX80 camera because that is based on contrast detect sensor and offers only 49 Selectable focusing points for the users.

ISO- Between these two options (Panasonic GX85 and Fuji X-pro2), if you like to shoot mainly at lowlight situation then X-pro2 is the camera that offers you an expandable ISO range of 51200, that means you can shoot even at struggling dimlight situations as well as you can get noiseless images also. But the Expandable ISO provided by GX85 (25600) is lesser than that of X-pro2 camera.

Shutter speed– The photographers of X-pro2 will earn more benefits in sports shooting or wildlife shooting because this mirrorless camera of Fuji offers their users to use the maximum shutter speed of 1/32000 sec, which means whatever the motion your desired subjects is in your X-pro2 can capture it excellently as well as also eliminate the motion blur and deliver you the slight sharper images compared to 1/16000 esc of shutter speed provided by GX80.

Image stabilization-  We just have to say that the Image stabilization of GX80 is slight better and more creative compared to X-pro2 Image Stabilization. You can see that the X-pro2 camera offers only 5-axis IS that might not be so effective in blur suppression arises due to unwanted camera shake. But Panasonic makes this GX80 camera is advanced with implementing 5-axis Dual image stabilization combined with an O.I.S. (Optical Image Stabilizer, 2-axis) and a B.I.S.(Body Image Stabilizer, 5-axis) that works together to give you the incredible results in suppressing any kind of camera shake.

Video- Moreover, Panasonic offers their users to record stunning and high resolution 4K video recording 3840 x 2160 at 30p or 24p in addition to the full-HD 1,920 x 1,080 60p (60 Hz) videos with practical full-time AF. But the X-pro2 allows only full HD video recording to their users.

Verdicts- Maybe the price of X-pro2 is higher compare to GX80 but offers you some giant specifications like brilliant AF system, high resolution and bigger sensor sizes and many more. But at little price Panasonic GX80 is also giving us terrific configurations. Finally the decision is yours, However for still shooters we recommend X-PRO2.
