No single word for the much awaited Nikon DF2 by the rumor mills for the past one year! Does it mean Nikon really has no intention to announce this camera anytime soon? ‘Looks so’. By the way, we are in the beginning of 2018 and we have a lot of expectations from Nikon this year. However, like never before Nikon is taking time to announce their flagship series cameras just like they did with Nikon D850, which is exceptional DSLR camera ever made by Nikon.
The current Nikon DF was announced back in 2013 is a DSLR camera but not like Modern DSLR it features are very different to use (Traditional like features) means it is really a beast camera for the still shooters. Its 16.2MP FX-Format CMOS Sensor renders the exceptional detail of the subjects with Twinkling sharpness. DF is totally a different camera in specifications as well as Look wise.
In January 2017, means last year we can call a rumor accidentally surfaced over the web that suggested us that the Nikon DF2, means the current Nikon DF successor could have 24 MP image sensor just like Nikon D750 and after that the rumor mills have fallen asleep.
Nikon DF2 on its way?
We have received a tip that the stock of Nikon DF is being cleared by most of the major retailers in USA. We have also seen that the camera is in the Back-Ordered mode in most of the online websites. So, we can expect Nikon DF2 announcement in the upcoming months and high possible stage is Photokina, which is also ahead of this year (Sep, 2018) and if we see the Roadmap of Nikon then we could see that Nikon D760, Nikon D650 and Nikon Megazoom camera on the way. On the other hand, the other rumor that recently came into existence is the arrival of Nikon D5s. However, no reliable rumor is revolving around it.
Take a look at the rumored specifications of Nikon DF2 cameras
