Nikon D5 vs. Canon 1Dx MARK II

Nikon D4S vs. Canon EOS-1D X 1

Neither Nikon D5 nor Canon 1Dx mark II has released yet, but we are trying to compare both cameras with their rumored specifications (specifications we have so far). So that we could know, which is going to the best camera for us?

However, we know Nikon D5 is special, because this camera will be the first DSLR that offers 4K video recording? Let’s find out now…

  • If we look at the rumored specifications, then we can confirmely say that Nikon D5 will use 20.7MP FX sensor but we  are still unaware with the type of sensor Canon will use for its 1Dx mark II.
  • Now, let’s talk about the AF systems of the two cameras. Nikon claimed that D5 will have “killer AF” system, which is innovative and best of any cameras in the present scenario as well as Nikon D5 will use 153 AF points. On the other hand 1Dx mark II may have eighty plus AF Points. But if we see the AF systems, no doubt the D5 will win the challenge of focusing the desired subjects more instantly and with enormous accuracy than 1Dx mark II.
  • We have rumored information that D5 could have 102400 native ISO range, means the camera will be creative in capturing the subjects in dimlight situations without any noise in the images. However, no clear information available about the upcoming 1Dx mark II, but we do believe that it will have a neck to neck fight.
  • No doubt the 1Dx mark II will also allow the users to record 4K video 4K @ 60fps, 120fps @ 1080p. Nikon D5 will also have the 4k video recording options, but the time will tell which camera is going to be announced first and become the first DSLR camera with 4K video recording options.

So, this was just a comparison with the rumored specifications, but after the announcement, stay with us and bookmark this page to see the specification comparison of the two flagship camera.
