Sensor size- No doubt that the sensor size of the Fuji X70 (APS-C X-Trans CMOS II Sensor) is bigger as well as powerful and the camera with 16.3 MP of resolution guarantees us for sharper images. Also, X70 with X-Trans CMOS II sensor controls moiré and false colors with the X-Trans color filter. On the other hand Nikon DL18-50 is using 21 mp of resolution but its sensor size is not so bigger comparison to X70, so we expect a bit lower quality of images (Comparison to X70)

Optical Zoom– DL18-50 provides 2.8x zoom, 5.5x with Dynamic Fine Zoom, so that a photographer can get the closest view of the desire subjects from their own place. But no optical zoom has been added in X70.

Image stabilization- Blurry images are the results of uncontrolled shaky hands while shooting, but DL18-50 engineered the creative optical image stabilization that faithfully reduces the appearance of camera shake problem and your images will be saved well from the wrathful effect of blur. But Fuji didn’t add this camera shake reduce technology in X70.

AF system- However, both X70 as well as DL18-50 uses the inventive hybrid autofocus (AF) system (Contrast+ phase detect sensor) featuring 105 phase detect focus areas (with 171 focus points in contrast detect AF mode for precise and faster tracking of the subjects.

Now look the AF system of Fuji X70- 49-point Single Point mode for faster and accurate focusing of the subjects, as well as the new Zone and Wide/Tracking modes that use a larger 77-point area to capture moving subjects. After looking at the 171 phase AF system of Nikon, I personally feel that the Nikon DL18-50 will be standard for tracking and locking down the subjects compared to X70. The biggest benefits of Nikon DL, massive number of AF points covers the entire screen, which is more helpful, fast and accurate compared to X70.

ISO- Looking at the higher ISO sensitivity as well as sensor size, we can say the X70 is the better camera for lowlight shooting compared to DL18-50.

Shutter speed- With using 1/32000 sec of shutter speed the X70 becomes the champion camera for shooting sports and wildlife actions, whereas, NikonDL18-50 offers shutter speed of 1/16000 only.

Shooting speed- The Nikon DL18-50 is capable of continuous shooting at up to approx. 20fps with AF for fast action moments while only 8fps of continuous shooting speed offered by X70.

Video- Though, Nikon DL18-50 compact camera but still offers their users to record 4K UHD video capability [3840×2160] at 30p with remarkable detail.

Display- Nikon DL18-50 integrates high-resolution 1,037k-dot OLED Touch displays allow for tilting to full Vari-angle, important when shooting from unique angles.

Verdict- As we have already said Nikon DL18-50 is outstanding camera that incorporates approx every vital specification that a photographers feel the need while shooting. So DL18-50 is getting more grades in compared to X70.
