Image stabilization

One of the excellent benefits one can earn from Sony A6500 is Image stabilization mechanism. Sony A6500 implements 5-axis I.S mechanism that is much necessary to acquire crisp and blur free images. Actually, this I.S mechanism doesn’t allow the uncontrolled camera shakes to disrupt the images by effectively suppressed them, which is very effective while shooting stills and recording 4K video at lowlight shooting. On the other hand, you can see Fuji X-T20 doesn’t have I.S system.

AF system

Sony A6500 is obviously a winner! Here it looks like the AF system of Sony A6500 is Jupiter that comes with 4D FOCUS system – a Fast Hybrid AF system that combines high-speed phase detection AF with extremely accurate contrast AF, which allows it to capture and lock on to moving subjects in as little as 0.05 seconds. Moreover, it also features 425 phase detection AF points and High-density Tracking AF Technology, which significantly improves subject detection and tracking performance. On the other side, Fuji X-T2 also has outstanding AF system, which is also blazing fast that offers 325 AF points too. But, the AF system of Sony A6500 is not short of any astounding, which is way better and super fast performer than that of Fuji XT20.

Continuous shooting speed

When you shoot at high resolution of 24MP the massive Sony A6500 allows you to use the highest frame rates of 11fps, which is great to capture the action of the fast moving subjects when you shoot at the highest resolution. On the other side, Fuji X-T20 is looking a bit down that offers 8fps when allows you shooting at its highest resolution of 24MP resolution.

If you are in mind to buy Sony A6500, then it is fair choice since the camera gives you better AF system, Continuous shooting speed and the much needed 5-axis I.S. By the way, most of the specifications of these two mirrorless cameras are closely resembling to each other, such as these two have been built on APSC sized sensor plus using the similar number of effective pixels. Though both of these two cameras offer 4K @30fps etc. But still Sony A6500 might be am awesome choice to upscale you shooting skill.
