Reasons why you should pick Sony a6000 camera over the Fuji XT 100.
Despite having same sensor size and resolution, the Fuji is bit new compared to the Son. But unfortunately, we still have 179 auto focusing points with Sony a6000 camera where as the Fuji XT 100 camera remains limited to 91 AF area. And not only 179 autofocusing. We also have extra 25 contrast based auto focusing points in the Sony a6000 camera to ensure accuracy / sharpness of the subject.
so if you’re going to talk about that of Autofocus part of both the camera then of course the Sony a6000 is still better than the Fuji XT 100 camera.
One of the biggest advantage associated with the Sony a6000 camera is the faster continuous shooting speed, we get 11 frames per second continuous shooting with the Sony a6000 camera where is the Fuji XT 100 camera remains limited to 6 frames per second at continuous shooting mode. it is really a bit surprise to me that being old is still the Sony is able to impress us a bit more compared to the Fuji XT 100 when we talk about lot of focusing system as well as the continuous shooting speed of the camera.
For Still purpose, I am going to recommend you that you should get the Sony a6000 camera because it features better and advance auto focusing system with more coverage compared to the Fuji XT 100 camera, as well as you are also getting faster Continuous shooting speed with Sony a6000 camera.
Reasons why you should not buy the Fuji XT 100 camera
Well people will going to say that I am bit bias towards Sony that I am not putting a single reason, why you should pick up the Fuji XT 100 camera. Because I have a simple reason for that we are not fools. the camera manufacturers should understand one thing and that’s implementing a half-baked feature inside a camera to top on comparison engines isn’t a good idea for sure. The 4K video mode inside the Fuji XT 100 camera is completely unusable for any kind of professional or commercial use. Why because they have just implemented the 4K video features somehow inside the camera with unlimited frame rate of 15 frames per second which is of course not recommended for any kind of professional use.
let me tell you that Sony a6000 camera captures excellent full HD video with blazing fast autofocusing support. And for me I have no use for any camera that captures a 4K video with 15 frames per second. the problem is not even limited to the 15 frames per second frame rate the maximum allowed file size inside Fuji XT 100 camera is of 4 GB. So once your video reaches the 4GB limit inside the camera the files automatically split up into different packets each of having 4 GB weight. and later on you have to merge all this package created by the camera of a single video file in a video editor so it’s kind of a problem that is silently associated with the Fuji entry level cameras.
My recommendation is that you should pick the Sony a6000 camera over the Fuji XT 100, because the Sony a6000 camera is of course one of the most sold most popular most loved camera of all time and it does have all the perfect specification you may need right now. if you want a 4K enabled camera then you should go with the Sony a 6300 camera, or you may lookup for Panasonic G7.
