Confirmed -Nikon D400/D500 coming with 10 fps and will cost you $2,300

Nikon-D400 ..1The long rumored and most wanted Nikon DX format flagship DSLR camera Nikon D400 or Nikon D500 yet again came with the latest rumor via the post of the Canadian nature photographer Brad Hill.

According to the post, it is expected that the upcoming Nikon D400 / D500 will come with the burst mode of 10 fps with better buffer and there is expectation that it will be announced in January, 2016 and available at the cost of $2,300.

Since Nikon had already announced D4s/D300s in the past so we expect that it will follow its strategy and may announce Nikon D5 and Nikon D400/D500 at the same event.

From Bill Hill:

Anyway…in the last 10 days I’ve received 3 separate and independent communications (via email) telling me that a semi-pro (or even higher) quality DX body from Nikon is going to be announced in January. Two of these three sources have been spot-on in the past re: what they’ve told me was coming, and the third is from a new source that I really can’t say too much about (simply because I don’t know).

The interesting thing is that I’m getting scant specs, but those I am getting are consistent from all 3 sources – DX format, 10 fps, a “very good” buffer (whatever that actually means) and selling for around $2300 USD(which is about a billion dollars Canadian these days…well..actually around $3100 CAD). This consistency could say something about rumour credibility (or it could mean all 3 of my sources got THEIR information from the same source). Note that at least one of the sources derives their income from Nikon.
