Megapixels:- Canon G9 X has more resolutions of 20MP with 1” CMOS sensor compare to Panasonic LX 100 with less resolution of 12.8MP but large 4/3″ type MOS sensor. The combination of 1” CMOS sensor with DIGIC 6 image processor helps the camera to perform better in low-light conditions with the reduction in noise, but

LX 100 has the high-sensitive and large sensor, which makes much difference in case of well –detailed image quality in dim-light comparative to Canon G9 X. Panasonic LX 100 maintains better ISO range of 100-25600 even at small resolutions of 12.8MP compare to the large resolutions of 20MP with ISO 125-12800. Canon G9 X supports to capture 20MP files @6fps where as LX 100 supports the users to capture 12.8MP files @ 11fps.

Optical Zoom:- Canon G9X and Panasonic LX 100 have minor difference of 0.1x in their optical zoom. However despite of having large and more compact lens system the LX100 offering you better aperture range compared to the G9X. Panasonic LX 100 has smaller aperture of F1.7-2.8, compare to G9X’s F2.0-4.9. As we know the aperture affects the depth of field so, the smaller the aperture, the greater is the zone of sharpness.

Here LX100 has large sensor with smaller aperture, hence it is sufficient for LX100 to gain improved zone of sharpness and more depth of filed in its captured subjects compare to Canon G9 X. LX 100 also works properly in low light conditions and also produces shallow depth of field of the image in focus.

Macro: LX 100 has the Macro setting of 3cm which is less and superior to G9X’s 5cm. Hence LX 100 performs better while capturing flowers, insects and other small creatures that the users want to close-up view of.

AF System:- Both the cameras G9X and Panasonic LX100 have similar contract detect AF system, which automatically focuses the images of a selected part of the subject and hence track the subject in full frame resulting in wide AF coverage with sharpness and accuracy.

ISO:- There is minor difference in initial range of ISO of both LX 100 and G9X while the expandable range of LX100 has one stop more increased ISO compare to G9X. Hence LX 100 supports the camera to capture the magnificent images even in low-light conditions. Also G9X has larger sensor so it helps the users to get better low light images with increased dynamic range.

Top Continuous Shooting Speed:- LX 100 has top continuous speed of 11fps, which is greater than 6fps of G9X. So, the top Continuous Shooting Speed makes LX 100 to capture the fast action objects compare to G9X.

Videos:- LX 100 offers 4K Ultra HD video recording at 30 or 24fps in MP4 format, it can also record Full HD video at 60 or 30fps in MP4 or AVCHD formats. While Canon G9 X supports Full HD video recording at 60, 30 and 24fps
