Megapixel- If G5X megapixel is more then on the other side Canon PowerShot G1 X Mark II sensor is more. G5X employed 20.2 mp of resolution but the sensor size is smaller in compared to G1 X Mark II. So if we think which camera will give us the best images including sharpness and clarity then it must be G1 X Mark II, since the camera has big and stable sensor size of 1.5″ (18.7 x 14 mm), must be justifying with your photography by providing you the sharp images that you generally desire of.

Optical Zoom- The 5x of optical zoom offered by G1 X Mark II that normally assists you in taking a picture of a landscape, or to get a closer view of a subject, without affecting the quality of the entire image. On the other hand G5x manages only 4.2x of optical zoom.

Image stabilization- optical image stabilization (hybrid) within the Canon G1 X Mark II, which helps to minimize the appearance of camera shake to provide you help with longer shutter speeds of as well as greater focal lengths. Whereas, the G5x has not use Hybrid optical image stabilizer.

Display- A three-inch, 1.04 million dot touch panel LCD screen fitted on the rear side of the G5x to provide a much light, clear display and features a Vari-Angle design through which a photographers can shoot videos from many shooting angles.

Shots- Maximum number of shots is more possible with G1 X Mark II in compared to G5x.

Verdicts- Going with G1 X Mark II will be a wise decision since the camera will give you the best image quality, more optical zoom, hybrid image stabilizer etc. So G5x is not a good competitor at all but has amused us with its some vibrant core specifications.
