Megapixel- The same kind of resolution as well as sensor size is utilized by both the cameras. So, same quality of images we could expect from the each one.

Optical Zoom- Canon G5x offers an optical zoom of 4.2x, which helps the landscape photographers, as they could have a great chance to get the closer view of the target subjects and the best part will be the images will not lose the standard. Look at the optical zoom of Canon G9X that is 3x only.

Continuous shooting speed– You can’t see a huge difference between the shooting speed of the two cameras but a point one more frame rate we can see in G9X. So, capturing the fast moving subjects both G5x and G9x will prove handy.

Display- On the rear side of G5x a nice three-inch, 1.04 million dot touch panel LCD screen has been integrated; and also features a Vari-Angle design to provide benefit of shooting from various angle.

EVF- You will get the full hundred percent of final coverage of the images, since the G5x has been incorporated with 100% EVF. But G9X doesn’t.

Shots- Approx 10 shots more is possible by G9x in compared to G5x.

Verdicts- Rest of the specifications are looking much same, so G5x is looking more hunk than that of the G9x. So, better to spare your savings on G5x.
