Aperture range:  The aperture range of FZ 1000 is more than that of the G3X that is F2.8- F4.0 so more will be the aperture range more light will fall onto the sensor and that give you complete freedom to use the faster shutter speed and provide you a crisp depth of the field.

Image stabilization – The 5 axis image stabilization system engineered in Panasonic FZ1000  that’s been spread in horizontal, vertical, axis of rotation, vertical rotation, and horizontal rotation means in five different axes and these all axes will help you to get blur free images by rectifying your camera shake problem while Canon G3X  has optical image stabilization which isn’t as better as 5- axis IS.

Video- Panasonic FZ1000 will capable to record 4k(3840 x 2160) at 30p and the file format will be MP4, you can alsoFull HD 1080 video record at 60p, 30p, 24p, or 60i-in the AVCHD format along with full HD, HD,  and also in MP4 format. You need to use  UHS-3 memory card while recording 4k video. But on the other hand if you choose Canon G3X for better video quality then you are wrong because you will have to satisfy with only full HD video at 60p.

Display- However, the Canon G3X has managed to provide you a better display that is 3.2″ touchscreen LCD provides you a sharp images with much more clarity, 1.62M-dot multi-angle tilting touchscreen LCD, doesn’t matter whatever your shooting angle is while Panasonic FZ 1000 is not providing you a better display.

Battery life–  The battery attached in the FZ1000 promises you to provide almost 360 shots at a time but G3X provide you to take only 300 shots.
