Image quality

A very little difference in the sensor sizes can’t create huge difference in the image quality. You can see in the table that Fuji X-A3 uses a slight larger sensor, but both carry same number of effective pixels that clearly confirms that you can acquire sharp images with outstanding clarity. On the other side, Fuji X-A3 is taking the advantage of having no low pass filter that ultimately helps the camera get stunning details of the subjects, even while shooting at lowlight situations.

AF system

The integration of highly advanced Dual Pixel CMOS sensor inside Canon EOS M6 helps users track the fast moving subject very quickly and accurately. Dual Pixel AF system – A very innovative AF technology that allows both capture video in Live View with smooth and precise autofocus. Not only this, this game-changing AF technology provides fast and accurate autofocus during Live View still image capture. Actually, CMOS sensor on Canon EOS M6 has two photodiodes per pixel (Total 40 million) and each pixel on the sensor performs both phase-difference detection autofocus and capture light. On the other hand, Phase-difference detection AF, enabling the cameras to achieve quick and easy auto focus. Furthermore, due this innovative AF system the camera gets autofocus on approx 80% of the image plane that eventually confirms you get images and high resolution videos with stunning details.

On the other side, Fuji X-A3 users have only contrast detect AF system only that can track the subjects quickly but you may not see accuracy in the subject as Canon EOS M6 can do with its dual Pixel CMOS AF system. But Fuji X-A3 can able to score more for offering you innovative 77 AF points. 49-point focus areas for AF in the Single Point mode and Zone and Wide / Tracking modes with 77-point focus areas. On the other side Canon EOS M6 offers you 49 AF points only.

Image stabilization

Canon EOS M6 incorporates a vibration reduction technology (Digital image stabilization), but you can use it when you are working for video with this camera. The I.S system is limited to video mode only and above all it is electronic I.S. But, Fuji doesn’t feel the need to implement vibration reduction technology into the Fuji X-A3 system.

Shutter speed

One of the great advantages of faster shutter speed is that it effectively suppresses the appearance of distortion and helps you get crisp and blur free images. Moreover, it also incredibly minimizes the “rolling shutter” effect while shooting fast moving subjects and followed by one other great advantage that this fast shutter speed also allows the camera to capture sharp, crystal clear images with a wide open aperture while shooting at bright light conditions. So, all the things I stated above are undisputedly favoring to Fuji X-A3 since the camera avails faster shutter speed of 1/32000 s. On the other hand, Canon Eos M6 allows you use the faster shutter speed of 1/4000 sec only.

Continuous shooting speed

The EOS M6 camera is capable of taking up to 7.0 frames per second (up to 9.0 fps with AF Lock) to help you get multiple images of a fast-moving subject and ensure you capture crisp and clear shots. On the other hand, Fuji X-A3 avails only 6FPS for continuous shooting.

You can take more than 400 shots at a time with Fuji X-A3, whereas 295 shots only will be taken with EOS M6.

However, price of Canon EOS M6 is more than Fuji X-A3, but gives you sturdy specifications like Dual pixel CMOS AF system, 5-axis I.S picture quality will also be outstanding. In other words, at the price you are getting marvelous camera. Fuji X-A3 is small and lightweight and implements nice specs, but it is looking slim down infront of massive EOS M6.
