Canon EF 16-35mm f/2.8L III USM may be announced with EOS 5D Mark IV

A team of selected photographers is already testing the upcoming wide-angle zoom lens, EF 16-35mm f/2.8L III lens, which will replace the current EF 16-35mm f/2.8L II lens.

However, this new lens is basically designed for event, landscape photographers. This EF 16-35mm f/2.8L III lens may be announced along with EOS 5D Mark IV in March, 2016.

  • Slightly longer and a bit heavier than old version
  • Retain the 82mm filter thread diameter
  • Weather sealing, durability and optics will get obvious improvements
  • The lens hood will also be unique to the new lens
  • No Image Stabilization
