At the XOXO Festival in Portland Flicker displayed an early preview of a ‘virtual reality experience’ designed for viewing 360-degree panoramic photos. This demonstration includes the Oculus DK 2 headset that is connected to a computer, and then after the wearers will completely engross within the panorama.
However, this demonstration is just a trailer or in other words the project is still unseeded, but flicker is so confident that it will offer a great help to anyone with a compatible VR headset to use in the days to come.
We would lucky to some quirk to the final design of this project but according to the current strategies would make Flickr VR available for any 360-degree panoramas and this would allow users to view photos using the Oculus VR headset. Other VR headsets may also be supported, as well.
Flickr could announce it in the early spring 2016.
