Image quality

Both feature almost similar size of APS-C sensor but Canon 700D acquires around 30% pixels area that maximizes the light gathering ability of the camera. Hence we know more is the light clear and sharper will be the images produced by the camera. On the other hand, we do expect best lowlight performance by Canon 80D because it implements an advanced Image processing engine called “Digic 6” that combine together with 24 MP APS-C sensor and able to produce stunning landscapes and still life shots with heavy details even in lowlight.

AF system

Canon 80D can throw magic spell with Dual Pixel CMOS AF, which makes it possible to achieve high speed AF during Live View shooting. On the other hand, with distinguish 45 selectable points, all of which are cross-type, this 24 MP camera is able to offer precise AF tracking, even during 7.0fps high speed continuous shooting without losing the details of the images. Meanwhile, Canon 700D doesn’t have any dedicated AF boosting technology inside, plus offers 9 AF points only. So the focusing operation by 700D won’t be staggering as 80D. But we shouldn’t blame this camera since it is an entry-level camera so a beginner can’t understand some difficult technology setting in camera. But again, it is comparison so Canon 80d’s AF system is superior.

Shutter speed

“Rolling shutter” effect commonly experienced with fast moving subjects but Canon 80D with faster shutter speed of 1/8000 sec captures the images with great clarity and suppresses the effects of distortion. On the other hand, Canon 700D uses the maximum shutter speed of 1/4000 sec.

Continuous shooting speed

Canon 80D offers Two fps more so that each action of the subjects will be greatly captured. On the other hand, Canon 700D avails 5fps only, falling short from Canon 80D.

Wireless

The Built-In Wi-Fi of Canon 80D wirelessly connects other smart devices and lets you transfer images, movies and other files, whereas Canon 700D doesn’t have built-in Wi-Fi to smartly connects with other devices.

Battery

You can capture maximum 960 shots at a time with Canon 80D, whereas Canon 700D lets you take 440 shots only at a time.

Environmentally sealed

One of the biggest advantages of Canon 80D is its weather sealed body that lets you shoot at tough shooting conditions. Unfortunately, Canon 700D doesn’t have weather sealed body.

Verdict

Canon 80D is one of the finest DSLRs of current time that boasts immersive specs at the core. Its incredible Dual Pixel AF system and some other features make a mark. On the other side, Canon 700D is an absolutely outstanding camera for the beginners that pack every spec that a beginner needs.
