Its AF system is highly advanced that consists both contrast as well phase detect sensor, plus it offers you 91 AF points that can also be divided into 325 AF points for high accuracy etc. One big advantage you can get from Canon G1X Mark II is its Zoom range as it is dominated by the 5x zoom lens.

Image quality

The X100F features the 24.3MP X-Trans CMOS III, an APS-C sensor with no low-pass filter that clearly indicates that high resolution images with stunning details will be achieved, even at higher ISOs, with minimal noise and distortion. On the other side, Canon G1X II has comparatively smaller sensor size (1.5″ CMOS Sensor) than X100F, which may not be so effective in producing images as sharper as X100F. Moreover, Fuji X100F features 24.3MP effective pixels, which means the camera can be so assertive in dynamic range, whereas Canon G1X II has 12.8MP resolution.

AF system

The AF system of X100F is vastly superior, featuring both contrast as well as phase detect sensor that allows you to achieve quick and accurate focus of the intended subjects. Plus, on the back of X100F a new joystick-style Focus Lever has been integrated that lets you quickly select a focus area in the frame with 8 directions of movement. , Fuji X100F has creative 91 AF points that can be divided into 325 points for extra accuracy along with 49 phase AF points. On the other side, Canon G1X II works with contrast detect sensor only that may not be so efficient to track the subjects with immense accuracy, but focuses very quickly. Unfortunately, the number of AF points in Canon G1X II is 31 only.

ISO

If you want to gain a confident shooting in the unfavorable conditions of lowlight then X100F is just marvelous camera that offers maximum ISO range upto 51200, plus able to produce lesser noise images compared to G1X II. On the other hand, G1X mark II offers maximum ISO range of 12800.

Shutter speed

One of the best advantages of faster shutter speed is it leads the photographers to take crisp and blur-free stills and videos with sharply focused subjects and defocused backgrounds. And you can see that Fuji X100F offers blazing fast 1/32000 seconds of shutter speed also ensuring that the users will not have to face the distortion issue in the images. But, Canon G1X 2 has very little shutter speed of 1/4000 only.

Continuous shooting speed

The Fuji X100F offers higher frame rates of 8 fps, ensuring that camera can capture much more of the action each second, reducing the opportunity for action to blur. This results in producing sharper images in any kind of shooting (basically used in capturing the sports action of the intended players or subjects). Only 5fps of continuous frame rates Canon G1X Mark II offering us (very little for shooting faster actions of the target subjects).

Shots

More numbers of shots will be taken with Fuji X100F, whereas Canon G1X II allows you to take 240 shots only at a time.

Common features

Thankfully, one big similarity both the cameras have the video capability. Both of these two cameras offer you to record Full-HD video (1080p @60fps).

Verdict

Fuji X100F may be a little expensive, but it is worth buying it since its specifications are vastly improved and very civilized. For instance, it has bigger sensor with maximum effective pixels, Hybrid AF system, faster shutter speed etc. In other word, Fuji X100F is very wonderful camera over the price that outperforms G1X II in every section.
