After the announcement of Olympus OM-D E-M1 Mark II, the company starts its availability through pre-order online, as was mentioned earlier. The users can get Olympus E-M1 Mark II body at the cost of $1,999 via B&H Photo Video and Adorama and the shipment of the camera will be started on December 2, 2016.
Undoubtedly, the camera comes with magnificent features with the newly-developed high-speed TruePic VIII Image Processor which is 3.5 times faster than previous TruePic processors and a new 20.4 megapixel Live MOS four-third sensor, which is two times smaller than existing model’s sensors. It can capture 6ofps in AF and AE lock, and up to 18 frames per second with continuous AF and AE tracking.
The TruePic VIII Image Processor features a dual quad core system with four CPU cores and four image processing cores, which supports it to get image processing speeds faster by 3.5 times faster than the TruePic VII Processor.
The camera is definitely will put smile on the face of professionals but what about the others who only need to capture landscape, wedding or studio photography where they have no need of much fast processing speed , no need of 60fps in 20MP raw mode. Why they have to pay huge amount of $1,999 only for the camera body if they have the option to get few well-performed cameras under $2k ,available in the market such as Nikon D750, Canon 6D, Sony A7, Nikon D610 etc.
So, Olympus OM-D E-M1 Mark II is definitely an over-priced camera which will be chosen by the professionals or it is suitable for those who can invest money without worry.
