Sony RX100 V vs Nikon DL18-50
Though, Nikon employs a bit more resolution than Sony RX100 V, but the imaging performance of Sony will surely win the heart of the photographers. You should know that Sony RX100 V is equipped with 1.0-type stacked CMOS sensor with DRAM chip, assuring us that cutting-edge sharpness in the images with rich details are highly possible, even when a photographer shoots at lowlight conditions.
AF points– Both the cameras feature a Fast Hybrid AF system, but we will give more grades to Sony RX100 V, since the camera has 315 dedicated AF points for high-speed focusing of the intended subjects, even at dark situation plus the camera can also cover 65% of the sensor. On the other hand, Nikon DL has only 171-point contrast-detect AF.
ISO– Other than best AF system, Sony also offers highest ISO level of 25600 that elevates the photographers to get lesser noise images, even at lowlight situations. Nikon DL extends its ISO level to only 12800.
Shutter speed– Distortion is quite natural while shooting fast moving subjects due to the rolling shutter of the camera, but we will praise Sony RX100 V for its high speed Anti-Distortion Shutter (maximum speed of 1/32000 second) speed. The advantage of shutter speed is that it suppresses the minus impact of rolling shutter and provides sharp, crystal clear images with a wide open aperture. On the other side, Nikon DL 18-50 offers maximum shutter speed of 1/16000 seconds only.
Continuous shooting speed– Nikon DL 18-50 offers you continuous shooting speeds up to approximately 20 fps with full AF performance and up to 60 fps with fixed focus, which clearly means that Nikon DL 18-50mm will be able to capture shots with incredible speed and precision. But the continuous shooting speed of Sony RX100 V is 24 fps only.
Battery– Nikon DL 18-50mm allows you to take around 290 shots at a time, whereas Sony RX100 V will let you take 220 shots only at a single time charge.
Verdict- Sony RX100 V will obviously be our recommended camera all due to its extraordinary features.
