Everything will be cleared just after a couple of weeks when we will be the part of Photokina events. Yes, Photokina show will run from 20 to 25 September and there are lot of cameras, lenses and other stuffs to be announced on that specific stage. So far, we have a good stock of rumors related to the upcoming cameras and lenses out of which few are confirmed and a few others are still in doubt state if they are coming to Photokina or not?
Now, the users of Olympus can check this updated list of the cameras which have better possibilities to hit the photokina show. Well, when we talk about the upcoming Olympus camera, then the first camera that strongly strikes our mind is Olympus E-M1Mark II. Rumors are rapidly moving around this camera related to its specs and other possibilities, however, the last rumor suggested that the camera may implement a complete new design and come with Sony made sensor. Moreover, the camera is expected to come with 4k video, handheld high resolution mode, 20MP sensor, improved AF and EVF.
Olympus E-PL8 camera–
So far, we have nothing other than the leaked images of this Olympus E-PL8 action camera. The official date, specifications information is yet to confirm. Reason behind the delay is Kumamoto Earthquake of Japan.
Olympus entered into the camera business in 1936, which means that they are completing their 80th anniversary this year. So, there is quite possibilities that Olympus may introduce a special edition camera in limited quantities for their Fanboys.
According to Japanese website Nokishita, Olympus has registered total four camera models under the code names IM001, IM002, IM003 and IM004.
Olympus may also announce two new MFT lenses and out of total two one will be a new M.Zuiko Digital ED 30mm f/3.5 Macro lens (already registered in Russia).
The current FL-600R flash will be replaced by new Olympus FL-900R flash) and there will also be new already registered in Russia Olympus STF-8 twin flash set (similar to the STF-22).
