Though, X-T2 as well as K-70 uses common sensor plus resolutions, but K-70 may produce a bit clear and sharper images and much detail of the subjects compared to X-T2, because Pentax doesn’t integrate low pass filter. On the other hand, the X-T2 uses low pass filter.
Image stabilization- Unavoidable camera shakes is the habitual part of shooting and that directly affect the image quality that means due to unwanted camera shake, blurs are easily visible in the images and if you look at the table you can see that K-70 engineered sensor shift image stabilization, which is highly effective to reduce the appearance of the camera shake, so that you will be able to acquire blur free images. On the other hand, X-T2 doesn’t incorporate image stabilization.
AF points- Accuracy and speed both can be achieved through these two cameras (X-T2 and K-70), because both camera yields Hybrid AF system that means contrast as well as phase detection mode are adjusted in the AF system, as due to these detection modes, camera will be able to focus on the subjects accurately, even if it’s faster. Now, give a look to the table and you can see that on the X-T2’s sensor, 325 AF points fill the frame from each side, letting users flawlessly track and lock-onto subjects. On the other hand, K-70 utilizes only 11 AF points.
Shutter speed- For capturing faster moving subjects comfortably, X-T2 is great camera that offers 1/8000 sec of shutter speed, while K-70 offers only 1/6000 sec of shutter speed.
Continuous shooting speed- Mainly, continuous shooting speed is used to capture the subject that is in successive motion, such as to capture the fast running sports player etc. You can see from the table that X-t2 uses 8FPS of continuous high speed will be able to capture the fast moving subjects more efficiently than 6fps of K-70.
Video- You can record the sharp and high resolution 4K video with X-T2 camera, whereas you have to satisfy with full HD video only, offered by K-70.
Shots- You can take 410 shots at a single time battery charge with Pentax K-70, On the other hand, X-T2 offers you to take only 340 shots at a single time battery charge.
Verdict- If you pick X-T2 camera then you can get the advantages of 4K video recording as well as the AF numbers, which is more in X-T2 camera for accurate tracking of the subjects. Pentax K-70 can give you sharp and clear images, but may be its video limits upto Full HD only can’t impress you much more.
