Sensor– If you want to pick any one camera from these two for overall stunning imaging performance, then Hasselblad X1D must be the consideration. You can easily count on this camera because the camera uses heavy medium format sensor (44x33mm) as well as the brilliant 50mp resolutions for high quality images with exceptional sharpness and also the camera offers 16-bit color depth and 14 stops of dynamic range. On the other side, Canon 1DX mark II is great camera, but the standard of images can’t be compared with Hasselblad. The other benefits that users can earn from Hasselblad are that the camera is little in size and incorporates exceptional ergonomics.

ISO- However, base ISO range of Hasselblad X1D is up to the mark and the users may not have any issue while shooting with lowlight conditions, but the downside is that its expandable ISO range is much lower compared to 1DX mark II, whereas Mark II offers an expandable ISO range of 409600, allowing the users to use according to required situations.

However, 1DX mark II also features hybrid AF systems, allows the users to snap even the fast moving subjects with impressive accuracy. Now, if you look at the AF systems of Hasselblad then you can see that Hasselblad features only contrast detect sensor in its AF system means the camera can snap the accurate shots, but may not instantly. Also, Hasselblad has not mentioned its AF numbers for X1D.

Shutter speed- Shutter speed of Canon 1DX mark 2 (1/8000secs) is great to capture the fast actions any sports player or fast running train, whereas, the shutter speed of Hasselblad is 1/2000secs that may not be sufficient to freeze the actions of the fast running subjects.

Video- With the help of Dual DIGIC 6+ Image Processors and its advanced sensor, the 1DX mark 2 can be able to capture 4K video (4096 x 2160) up to 60 fps and Full HD video at 120 fps as well. But the photographers have to manage with Full HD 1080p H.264 Video at 25 fps while shooting with Hasselblad.

Display- 1D X Mark II camera integrates 3.2-inchtouch panel TFT LCD monitor that incorporates approximately 1.62 million dots, anti-reflective construction and Clear View LCD II technology (Canon’s own) for bright, sharp display for variety of shooting conditions. Also, the photographers can take shots from various unique angles with 1D X Mark II.

Battery life– Canon 1DX mark II allows users for around 1210 shots at a single charge whereas, Hasselblad doesn’t mention the number of shots can be taken with this camera.

Verdict- If your only motive is image quality or want to choose a camera for Landscape photography or portrait , then Hasselblad is the exact solution.
