5 Tips For Shooting at Atacama desert. Chile

1 – The summer (Dec to Feb) it´s wonderful for dramatic skies once there are more clouds. In the winter (Mai to Sep) the volcanos are covered with a snow cap, great to ad contrast with the blue sky,
2- Run away from the crowds. If possible rent a car and go on your own to enjoy the sunrises and sunsets.
3- The Atacama sky is one of the clearest in the world and there is no light polution, so its a perfect place for night photography.
4 – Be in good shape once the desert is from 2.600 to 5600m of altitude. Even a short walk can be tricky in the first days.
5- Explore as much as you can, there are great photo opportunities everywhere.
