Let’s go in details…
Sensor Sizes– Basically, the sensor size implemented in K-70 [APS-C, 23.5 x 15.6 mm] design is quite bigger than 760D, but in practical, we can assume common quality of images from both the two cameras. But due to the High ISO reach of K-70 we will see slightly better low-light performance compared to Canon 760D.
Image stabilization- Since both are entry level DSLRs and it’s quite necessary for the users to understand the significance of built- in Image stabilization in camera. An Image stabilization is equipped into the camera module to effectively correct the errors occurred due to unwanted vibration of camera or our undesirable hands shake while shooting. And you can see from the above comparison table that Pentax K-70 has this Image Stabilization (Sensor shift) means the users can acquire blur free images during their shooting. On the other hand, no space for image stabilization in Canon 760D. Users have to buy high quality lenses with IS to combat camera shake.
AF System- With both the cameras Canon 760D as well as Pentax K-70, one can get his AF operation done stunningly and accurately. Since both are using the Hybrid AF systems (Contrast + Phase), but we can practically say that SAFFOX X Auto Focus systems of Pentax K-70 has been advanced, or in other words the camera can focus dramatically even in the dimlight conditions. However, 19 creative AF points of Canon 760D, allowing the shooters to gain pinpoint focus of the fast moving subjects, whereas, only 11 Points of AF points are offered by Pentax K-70.
ISO– In general, ISO range upto 6400 is fairly sufficient for the photographers shooting in the lesser light conditions, but sometimes, when a photographer has to shoot in the daunting situations where light is extremely negligible the expandable ISO range of the camera comes much handy. So does the Pentax K-70, with expandable ISO range of 102400 the users can snap the subjects brilliantly, but the expandable ISO range of Canon 760D is only 25600, which is quite lower.
Shutter speed- With a top shutter speed of 1/6000 second, making the PENTAX K-70, a great camera that sharply captures the fast-moving subjects. Whereas, the shutter speed of Canon 760D is restricted upto 1/4000 secs.
Continuous shooting speed– Coupled with its high-speed continuous shooting function with a top speed of approximately 6fps, the Pentax K-70, allows the photographers enjoy capturing their favorite action moments. On the other side, 5fps of continuous shooting function is allowed by Canon 760D.
Video- Though, both the cameras can capture high-resolution, Full HD movie clips (1920 x 1080 pixels full HD video recording), but the unique 4K Interval Movie mode of Pentax K-70 that connects a series of 4K-resolution still images at a fixed interval to create a single movie file.
Battery life- You can take atleast 440 shots of different subjects with Canon 760D whereas the Pentax K-70 allows you to take only 410 shots at a single time battery charge.
Verdict- Pentax K-70 is a excellent camera under affordable price tag that features rugged body, built-in image stabilization and better low-light sensotovoty compared to Canon 760D. Hence we recommend you to go with Pentax.
