Recently we published a bit of information related to the size of the upcoming Sony A9 (or A7RII) via sonyalpharumors as mentioned in the statement –
“The size will be bigger than A7RII, but smaller than conventional DSLR, such as 5D3.”
Now at present, the other source revealed little more detailed rumored information about the Sony A9 (or A7RIII) as –
A A9R with a full format sensor featuring only 2.4µm pixels. That results in an astonishing 150MP total sensor size.
But here is the kicker it will feature a “low res” mode where 4 pixels are coupled analog – resulting in a 37MP sensor with 2 f stops more sensitivity and dynamic range.
Few days ago, a reliable source of reputed rumor mill revealed that- “The next generation flagship mirrorless camera from Sony will be a giant leap. It will drop a huge bomb in the imaging industry. It will not be A7III or A7RIII. It will be a new model above A7 series. I would say A9 (let’s name it as the new model). So the new A9 will have dual XQD card slot, no CFast version, only XQD. A9 can do UNLIMITED RAW burst, UNLIMITED. The camera wont pause for buffering.”
So if we follow the aforesaid statement than the upcoming camera Sony A9 with full format sensor of 150MP with 2.4µm pixels will be definitely a huge bomb in the camera industry, also supported by the other rumored information revealed recently as we discussed.
Hence, after seeing the rumors from trusted body, it forces us to think that Sony has better command on camera technology and also has the caliber to launch cameras that will definitely a surprised package for the users in coming days.
But still we shouldn’t forget that all the information is totally based on rumors and not coming from Sony camp, so take it lightly.
