Sensors:- Nikon D500 has bit large 22MP APS-C contrast detect CMOS sensor while Canon 70D has 20MP APS-C CMOS sensor. Nikon D500 has advanced EXPEED 5 Image Processor combines 22MP APS-C contrast detect CMOS sensor to give better result with high resolution images with color contrast in different situations along with magnificent image quality, low –light sensitivity, but Nikon D500 comes with more advanced and upgraded Expeed 5 image processor superior to Canon 70D, coupled with its 22MP APS-C CMOS sensor to produce magnificent and high-resolution images with outstanding low-light sensitivity. Hence it’s both processor and sensor works together to produce well detailed images in low light conditions with reduction in noise.

Nikon D500 has far superior expanded ISO of 50-1640000 comparative to Canon 70D, which has ISO of 100-25600 only.

Nikon D500 captures 22MP images @10fps while Canon 70D captures 20MP images @ 7fps.

 

AF System:- Nikon D500 has used 153-Point Multi-CAM 20K Autofocus System including 99 cross-type sensors for better result in recognition of the subjects which has to be captured and the other 55 points used for better composition while Canon 70D offers a low 19-point all cross-type autofocus system compare to D500.

Hence there is no doubt that the large number of Autofocus points of Nikon D500 helps it to provide a wide range of focusing coverage accurately and quickly in low-light conditions and also the more advance AF points of Nikon D500 helps it to grab the large AF area of the subject in both moving and still position compare to Nikon D500.

 

ISO:- The Nikon D500 has ISO range of 50-1640000 while Canon 70D has ISO 100-25600.

Hence, the Nikon D500 has 6 stop increases in ISO compare to Canon 70D which is definitely a remarkable increase in ISO.

The massive difference in ISO is definitely makes the Nikon D500 camera to perform well in low light conditions and hence it also supported by the advanced and upgraded technology used in its sensor and image processor which controls the noise production due to higher ISO and results in magnificent images even in challenging low light situations with increased dynamic range. Continuous Shooting Speed:- The Nikon D500 has continuous shooting speed of 10fps limited to 200 frames while Canon 70D has slower continuous shooting speed of 7fps (limit unknown).

Video:- The D500 offers 4K UHD video recording at 30, 25, and 24 fps frame rates and Full HD/HD recording at up to 60 fps, while Canon 70D supports Full HD 1080p video recording is supported at 30, 24, and 25 fps as well as HD and SD video recording in multiple frame rates.

Hence, undoubtedly D500 will definitely be liked by the entire experts and the professional videographers for its magnificent videos with higher resolutions compare to the videos with low resolutions of Canon 70D.

Verdicts- Verdict is not necessary, our suggestion will be D500 because  the camera has solid specifications.
