Since after the announcement of Sony Alpha a68 in the last month for Europe, now Sony has decided to make it available for the US users.
Hence such announcement has definitely stopped the prediction of death for compact, entry-level model A-mount system and also increased the hope that the users will see A-mount cameras a99 II it in coming days.
The Sony Alpha a68 comes with more improved specifications compare to its predecessor and also it is based on Sony’s Translucent Mirror Technology which supports constant tracking autofocus during continuous shooting at up to 8 fps.
Two different versions will be available for the US users:-
Sony Alpha a68 camera body only (price not yet available)
Sony Alpha a68 camera with 18-55mm lens ($699)
After a month of speculation, Sony has proven that the A-mount will definitely see continued support here in the USA, with the official release of the Alpha a68 DSLR Camera. This compact, entry-level model improves on its predecessor and gains numerous enhancements first seen on the bigger a77 II, including 4D FOCUS with 79 phase-detect AF points. The camera also benefits from the use of Sony’s Translucent Mirror Technology, which provides constant tracking autofocus during continuous shooting at up to 8 fps.
