We came with the list of the Canon Cameras coming in 2016:-
- Canon 5D Mark IV:-
As we know the launching of Canon 5D Mark IV, which is the successor of Canon EOS 5D Mark III is highly expected for more than 4 years. Since, the predecessor Canon EOS 5D Mark III was announced on March, 2012.
Now as we approaching towards the year 2016, our expectation is arising towards the launching of the upcoming Canon 5D Mark IV.
The updated rumored specification of the Canon EOS 5D Mark IV so far:-
- 23MP sensor / 24.2MP mode
- 61 AF Points (41 cross-type)
- DIGIC 7+ (Single)
- ISO 100-51,200 (expandable options)
- 2″ touchscreen LCD
- CFast/SD card slots
- Wifi built-in
- GPS built-in
- BG-E20 battery grip
- LP-E20 battery
- A bit reduction in weight
It is expected that the camera Canon EOS 5D Mark IV will be announced on August 2016 or at Photokina, 2016 event and shipment will be started from October.
2. Canon 6D Mark II:-
As we know the predecessor Canon EOS 6D is a 20.2-megapixel full-frame CMOS digital single-lens reflex camera was released in late November 2012. It is the world’s lightest DSLR camera which is ideal for travel, portrait and landscape photographers.
Now after more than three years, it is highly expected that Canon will announce the successor of Canon EOS 6D in February 2017.
According to the latest rumor, it will be smaller in size and lighter in weight than its predecessor Canon EOS 6D , it will use its own full frame image sensor as Canon EOS 6D, it will include “New connectivity feature” .
The rumored specification of the upcoming Canon 6D Mark II includes a sensor of 28MP/24MP, Top continuous shooting speed of 6 fps, ISO 100 – 102400 (expandable to 204800), new AF system (but not the same as on 5DS) , 98% viewfinder coverage , Single SD card slot , another connectivity like WiFi, NFC, and GPS.
According to the recent rumor the Canon EOS 6D Mark II will come with:
- 24MP Full Frame CMOS sensor
- ISO range 204800 or more
- Improved Auto-focus performance (sensitivity upto -5 EV)
- Two AF system are under testing under different prototypes
- WiFi with NFC and GPS
- Wireless battery charging with the Qi standard
- Internally Canon switches from VxWorks (Could have meant DRYOS) to an Android-based embedded OS, 6D Mark II will be the first Android-based camera from Canon.
- Dual-pixel autofocus technology
- Swivel LCD a-la-70D
- Anti-flicker a-la-7DII
3. Canon SX 70 HS/Canon SX 100 HS:-
The Canon SX60 HS was announced on Sep 2014, so the announcement of its successor Canon SX 70 HS/Canon SX 100 HS is highly expected.
we are expecting the camera will come with either 70X or 100X optical Zoom, ISO range equivalent to ISO 12800, that will bring a better low-light performance and less noise while shooting at High ISO range. There is expectation that it will come with a 5-axis IS system to upcoming superzoom camera.
It will sport an advanced image processor DIGIC 7. And also the possibility of its coming with 100X optical zoom can’t be ignored as it has already filed 100X optical zoom compact camera patent in March, 2016.
It is expected that it will be announced in the upcoming event of Photokina, 2016.
4. Canon G7X Mark III:-
As we know the predecessor of Canon G7X Mark III namely Canon G7X Mark II launched on February, 2016. The camera comes with a 1.0-inch, 20.1 MP CMOS sensor coupled with Canon’s new DIGIC 7 Image Processor which helps to reduce noise and deliver magnificent image quality, even in low light shooting situations.
Since not a single specification has been revealed so far, but it is common to expect more from the successor Canon G7X Mark III compare to Canon G7X Mark II. So we expect the upcoming Canon G7X Mark III will carry a better sensor and we do expect Canon will use stacked CMOS sensor from Sony RX100 MIV
It is expected that it will be announced in the last month of Q1 or Q2 of 2017.
5. Canon 800D:-
The predecessor Canon 760D already announced on February, 2015. It has a newly developed 24.2 megapixel Canon CMOS imaging sensor and first camera from the Canon EOS Rebel system which features built-in Wi-Fi and NFC capabilities. We have no information related to the specification of the camera Canon 800D but it is expected that the upcoming Camera Canon 800D will have Dual-pixel CMOS sensor which will be similar as used in Canon 70D and it will be definitely come with much upgradation compare to its predecessor Canon 760D.
There is expectation that the upcoming Canon 800D will be announced on Q4 of 2016 or Q1 of 2017.
