Take a look at the some of the bright specifications of the two highly acclaimed cameras, the specifications start with the resolution, which is almost same, even there’s no difference in their sensor sizes.

Both the two cameras have been defined on the same Contrast detect AF system, having the

Optical zoom- You can easily zoom up your G5x camera, as the camera offers you 4.2x optical zoom option to get the closest view of the subjects. Whereas, the Sony RX100 III has only 2.9x optical zoom.

Continuous shooting speed- Tracking the fast moving subjects with utmost ease, the 10fps of continuous shooting speed of RX100 III will surprisingly capture the subjects. Whereas, the only 5.9fps shooting speed of G5x can’t perform like Rx100 III.

Display- Within the RX100 III model, an articulated LCD has been included that can be tilted upward by about 180 degrees for fun selfies and downward to approximately 45 degrees for shooting of higher-angle.

Battery life- The battery of Rx100 III will remain active for more than 300 shots on the other hand you can take only the shots of 210 subjects through G5x.

Verdicts- However, major specifications are not so difference but if you have to choose between the two then we would suggest you to go with Sony RX100 III, because you could get the continuous shooting speed of 10fps and the maximum number of shots are also possible. No problem in purchasing G5x camera also.
