Megapixel-  Ricoh GR II is more stronger not only in resolution but also in case of Sensor. The camera has secured 16 mp of resolution and with APS-C( 23.7 x 15.7mm) that assuring you to deliver a pure and sharp images but you can’t expect all these from Canon G1 X Mark II that uses weak resolution as well as 1″ sensor as compare to  Ricoh GR II.

Low pass filter-  The Ricoh GR II the the camera that doesn’t feel the need of incorporating low pass filter and the advantages of this thing is that the camera will able to capture the more details of the images but a built in low pass filter camera can’t do such things, means it’s clear that Canon G1 X Mark II will fail in capturing the details of the images due to the use of Low pass filter.

AF point– The 31 AF points of Canon G1 X Mark II that helps you to well maintain in the sharpness of pictures in different kind of situation but Ricoh GR II managed only 9 AF points.

ISO- You will feel more easy to freeze the subjects in low light if you use Ricoh GR II that allow you to use ISO range upto 25600 while Canon G1 X Mark II has limits upto 12800 which is lower.

Shutter speed /Continuous shooting speed-  The Shutter speed of Canon G1 X Mark II is better than that of the Ricoh GR II that help this camera to freeze the subjects completely and quickly and Continuous shooting speed is also faster that is 5fps to capture maximum actions  of the subjects.

Battery life-  You can snatch 320 shots by using Ricoh GR II but you can’t expect more shots from Canon G1 X Mark II and that is 240 shots only.

Verdicts:  We would like to suggest you to purchase Ricoh GR II, since the camera features more resoltuiom, bigger sensor size and No optical low pass filter.
