We already coming through a series of rumors related to the Canon 18MP sensor, expectation of announcement of full-frame astrophotography DSLR similar to Nikon D810A and lots more.
All the rumors forced us to think that Canon is doing some latest manufacturing related to the 18MP full-frame sensor. It is still suspense, what is going there.
However, today the camera industry made their believe in small size sensor and showed impressive low light performance but there is less chance that 4K enabled version of the 5D will make any difference after the XC10.
The other question arises what Canon will do with an 18MP sensor. We can’t think that it will use in its upcoming first full frame astrophotography DSLR because canon has followed the path of Nikon and hence already decided to launch the similar astrophotography DSLR camera with a 36.3-megapixel CMOS sensor in the coming year 2016.
It is also expected that due to good low –light performance, Canon may use the 18MP full-frame sensor to provide those users who loves for shooting the milky –way at midnight.
As we know Canon has already released the world’s highest resolution full-frame DSLRs, featuring sensors with 50MP, the EOS 5DS and EOS 5DS R recently. So it is not bearable to talk about the short senor.
It is quicker to say something else so wait and watch.
