We have the latest information that Pentax will announce its first digital Full Frame DSLR in the last of 2015.
According to the rumored information it is expected that it will use the similar Sony 36MP sensor which is already used by the Nikon DSLR and Sony A7r.
The most important information that came from the reliable source Thistanaka is that Pentax will use the Sony FF sensor with high speed shooting mode.
As we know the similar feature is already used by its latest brand K-3II as stated:-
The K-3 II is the first camera in the PENTAX line to incorporate Pixel Shift Resolution® for capturing still life subjects with ultra-high resolving power. Pixel shift technology uses the camera’s in-body Shake Reduction mechanism to move the image sensor at single pixel increments, capture 4 separate images, which are subsequently combined into a single high definition image. Benefits include higher resolving power, reduced false color and improved overall image quality of non-moving subjects.
We also know that Pentax has already used Sony sensors on its K series APS-C DSLR so it is most likely that Sony will also use high resolution technology soon.
