After doing much market research we’ve came to the conclusion that the upcoming Samsung NX400 can have the Sony Alpha 6000 as its top most competitor. Let’s take a close look on both the camera’s specs:
P.S. specs for NX400 are rumored; no confirm news is available yet.
Sensor: both the cameras have a similar APS-C sized CMOS sensor that delivers high quality images, while the megapixels resolution of NX400 is 28MP and that of A6000 is 24.3MP. Therefore both the cameras will create almost similar quality image. The higher Megapixels count in NX400 produces notably high quality images than that of A6000.
AF system: both the cameras offer same hybrid type AF system that comprises of both contrast detect as well as phase detect method for acquiring quick and accurate AF over the subject. For fast AF experience the phase detect method is considered ideal, while the contrast detect AF method fine tunes the focused area, thus the inclusion of both the methods deliver a quick, smooth and precise AF experience to the users. The NX400 uses a total of 205 phase and 209 contrast-detection autofocus points while the A6000 uses a total of 179-point phase-detection and 25-point contrast-detection autofocus points. the higher number of AF points in the A6000 helps it in getting very quick and extremely precise AF that is quite better than that of NX400.
Viewfinder: both the cameras offer a OLED EVF.
Video mode: both the camera will offer full HD 1080p video recording. It is also rumored that the NX400 will offer 4K recording option (still not sure).
The NX400 is rumored to be launched at $900 with kit lens, if it’s the final price then it will have a deep attack at users pocket in comparison to A6000’s $798 (double lens kit).
