Sensor: The Panasonic Lumix DMC-GM5 features a 16MP Four Thirds Digital Live MOS sensor which enables it to capture high resolution images as well as intricately detailed HD video. The Olympus E-M10 is also built with the same sensor with a 0.1MP difference.

Image stabilization: The inbuilt VCM (Voice Coil Motor) image stabilization system in Olympus E-M10 helps to reduce the camera shake effect and it reduces the blur caused by the camera movement while taking hand-held shots especially. This image stabilization system works across 3 axes which compensates the vertical shifts, horizontal shifts as well as the optical axis (roll). but no iamge stabilization system is featured with Lumix DMC-GM5.

Display: Olympus E-M10 has a 3.0″ 1,037k-dot tilting touchscreen LCD monitor, which can be adjusted to different angles while shooting subjects at low angle. While Panasonic Lumix DMC-GM5 has a 3.0″ 921k-Dot LCD for live time monitoring.

Battery: Olympus E-M10 can take up to 320 shots in one battery cycle . While Panasonic Lumix DMC-GM5 can take up to 220 shots in one battery cycle.

Connectivity: Both the cameras feature in built WI-FI that allows them to connect to several devices for image sharing as well as to let them control the camera remotely.

Dimensions: Panasonic Lumix DMC-GM5 is has a small body in comparison to that of Olympus E-M10.
